About Joanne

I spent four decades following the script. Now, I'm the one holding the pen. This is how we rewrite the middle of the story.

The Trip That Started Everything

Where it began.

We were staying in a centuries-old stone building tucked into the tiny village of Rocamadour. The cobblestone laneways below were so narrow you could almost reach across and touch the building opposite. Everything about the place felt ancient. Timeless. As though nothing had changed there for hundreds of years.

I climbed onto the windowsill and looked up.

I'd spent my entire life beneath the Southern Cross, yet above me was a sky I'd never seen before. Every constellation was unfamiliar, yet I couldn't stop looking. There were more stars than I'd ever imagined possible.

Then the Gregorian chanting began from the abbey above the village.

I can still remember what it felt like on my skin. Tears rolled down my face as I sat there in the darkness, completely overwhelmed by a feeling I couldn't explain.

What Changed

I was waking up.

I wasn't having a holiday. I was waking up.

For the first time in a very long time, I realised there was so much more to this world than I'd allowed myself to believe. More beauty. More wonder. More life. And somewhere along the way, Joanne had forgotten she deserved to experience it.

Looking back now, that night wasn't simply the beginning of a trip. It became the beginning of a different way of living. Everything that has followed, my passion for health, my love of travel, the women I've connected with, Aged 2 Perfection and this community, all trace back to one evening sitting on a windowsill in a tiny French village.

When I think about Rocamadour now, I don't remember the buildings first, or even the stars.

I remember how I felt.

For the first time in years, I felt alive. I left France with beautiful memories, but I brought home something far more valuable. I brought home myself.

How I See It

Choose Yourself.

Getting older hasn't made me smaller. It's given me perspective.

I've become clearer about what matters, more comfortable saying no, and far less interested in living according to someone else's expectations.

For years, I poured my energy into everyone around me while quietly placing myself at the bottom of the list. Eventually, I realised it was time to choose myself.

Not instead of the people I love, but alongside them.

Looking back, that one decision shaped everything that followed. It changed the way I looked after myself, connected with others, approached work and, perhaps most importantly, the relationship I had with the woman in the mirror.

That is what Aged 2 Perfection stands for.

Proof that midlife isn't the end. It's the moment you finally decide to choose yourself.

It's Your Turn

You are still in there.

If you've found yourself here, perhaps a small part of you has been wondering whether life still has something new to offer. I believe it does.

Not because everything suddenly falls into place, but because there comes a time when you stop waiting for the right moment and start giving yourself permission to live differently.

That decision doesn't have to be dramatic. Sometimes it begins with saying yes to a conversation, walking into a room full of strangers, dancing when you haven't danced in years, booking the trip you've always talked yourself out of, or simply believing you're worthy of taking up space in your own life.

Here, you'll find opportunities to connect, share experiences, laugh, reflect and discover that the best chapters of life don't have an expiry date.

If something you've read here has stirred a part of you that's been quietly whispering, perhaps this is your moment. Not to become someone different, but simply to reconnect with the woman who's been there all along.

If you're ready, I'd be honoured to walk beside you.

There comes a time when you

stop waiting

for the right moment.
